On a nationally televised episode of “The Youing Icons” 17 year old Candice Coll talks about her mission with Learning Ally. The enterprising teen is a star volunteer at Learning Ally’s studio in Los Angeles, California, where she helps to produce accessible audiobooks for students with reading and print disabilities. Check out this video that highlights Candice Coll’s lessons of the importance of giving back to the community.
Learning Ally (formerly RFB&D – Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic) has a successful record of partnering with federal, state and local governments to promote academic and personal success for many individuals. Their collaboration with several state departments of education is critical to Learning Ally’s ability to serve hundreds of thousands of students who need accessible educational materials to succeed. This ongoing support helps to underwrite their services and develop the new capacity needed to serve even more individuals. http://www.learningally.org
