It’s hard to imagine that there are millions of people around the world who lack access to clean drinking water. Would you believe that in places like Africa, people spend about 40 billion hours every year walking to get water, which is so polluted and contaminated, that it is the primary reason why 3 children die every minute from it? It is even more alarming to believe that with such devastating statistics, there are many people who do not believe that the global water crisis even exists.
There are many wonderful water organizations and charities working hard to help bring clean drinking water to areas like Haiti, Cambodia and Darfur. My dear friend Doc Hendley, founder of Wine to Water, based in Boone, North Carolina is on a quest to bring clean water and improved sanitary conditions to many depressed areas of the world.
Today, as we celebrate World Water Day, a local water filtration business in Monroe, NC that partnered with Wine to Water and TrekDesk Treadmill Desks will donate $1 each time their image (shown above) is shared from their Facebook page by Filtersfast.com Facebook followers. It’s simple, easy and FREE. The more you share this image, the more money Filtersfast.com will donate to support Doc and his Wine to Water team build, repair and maintain water systems in places like Africa, India and Indonesia.
- Simply go to the Filtersfast.com Facebook Page, share their World Water Day image as many times as you would like with your friends, followers and family.
- Remember the more you and anyone you know shares that image directly from the Filtersfast.com Facebook page, the company will donate $1 to Wine to Water for each share.
- If you are not a Filtersfast.com Facebook follower, simply “Like” their page and go from there!
We are blessed to live in a country where we have access to clean drinking water and a low mortality rate, especially in children resulting from drinking contaminated water. To learn more about The W3 Project, check out their website. Happy World Water Day!
