OPEN MIC Anniversary: Bring your picnic baskets, folding chairs and POETRY!

Kym Gordon Moore, Indian Trail Cultural Arts Center, North Carolina PoetJoin North Carolina Poet, Kym Gordon Moore, as she celebrates her year of poetry with the Indian Trail Cultural Arts Center, on Saturday September 13, 2014. The Picnic of Poetry celebration will take place on the green of the Indian Trail Cultural Arts Center, from 4:00-7:00pm! This is a FREE open mic event.

Poets for Hunger© (whose founder is Kym Moore) and the Indian Trail Cultural Arts Center would like for everyone to kindly donate a canned good or nonperishable food item to benefit Common Cupboard. This food pantry was established in 2006, by Common Heart, a nonprofit organization located in Indian Trail, NC. A container will be available on site to put your donated food items in.

This anniversary celebration will feature author readings and book signings on site. Light refreshments will be on hand. Featured multi-media artist Erin Penland will also be on location, to artistically capture the festivities throughout the afternoon.
