Writers: A Twist of Writing Opportunities During National Pretzel Month

Is it possible to find a writing opportunity when celebrating National Pretzel Month in October? Besides writing about the consumption of pretzels, there are numerous perspectives that can be creatively developed from this topic. With origins in Europe, this twist of bread is one of the foods that is known as an entertainingly synonymous part of the menu at carnivals, county fairs, amusement parks and sidewalk kiosks.

Pretzels are traditionally intertwined with three rings that form the shape of a knot. This baked bread uses simple ingredients like water, salt and flour. It holds religious significance and is said to represent the Holy Trinity. Pretzels were the ideal food to eat during Lenten season.
