Fashionistas are familiar with the “LV” monogram of the famous French designer, Louis Vuitton. Vuitton is the founder of the well-known French fashion house, which was established in 1854. It is one of the world’s leading international fashion houses and was named the world’s most valuable luxury brand for 6 consecutive years (2006-2012).
So what is all the buzz behind the recent #MakeAPromise campaign from the House of Louis Vuitton? It’s all part of a philanthropic campaign that kicked off at the UNICEF Ball in Los Angeles on January 12, 2016. The brand is teaming up with UNICEF (the United Nations Children’s Fund) to launch a global initiative that will raise funds to benefit children in urgent need.
For this campaign, Vuitton is launching its Silver Lockit pendant and bracelet, available at Louis Vuitton stores worldwide. Inspired by Georges Vuitton’s original lock design from 1890, for every one of these special edition pieces sold, $200 of the $500 purchase price will be donated to UNICEF.
