Enjoy the Journey to Your Destination

“I was taught that the way of progress was neither swift nor easy.”
-Marie Salomea SkΕ‚odowska–Curie, Polish-French Physicist

When we try to do something we are passionate about, something that is good, positive, and helpful, we can experience setbacks and disappointments. We feel depleted of energy and sometimes defeated more than we care to admit.

I learned that if something is worthwhile, whether it’s building a relationship, running a marathon, conducting experiments, painting a picture, writing a book, cooking a meal, or producing a product, it’s not wise to sprint through the process and expect instantaneous success. Sounds nice, but that is not quite realistic. Just ask someone who has lost weight on a crash diet – short-term accomplishment but with long-range, negative side effects. You can burn yourself out if you try to rush your travel on your trip. Enjoy the journey, observe, and learn your lessons as you reach your destination successfully.

As we look at our abilities and capabilities, may we observe where we are and plan where we want to go. Don’t worry about what you don’t have, simply focus on what you got and then go from there. Map out your path of pros and cons to navigate to your destination. Slow down, and don’t move too fast. Make your moments last.

Now, my dearest sweet Kym, I desperately want to catch the next available flight to see you and give you a great hug, dear sister. You are the most positive person I have ever met and a big inspiration for me. This post is as precious as gold because every sentence is perfect and very reasonable. β™₯️β™₯️β™₯️😊😊😊😊

  4. Oh my gosh Aparna, you are getting me all choked up here. πŸ€— I suppose my mindset comes with continued growth from experiences that sometimes tries to knock you down repeatedly and take away your joy. We have to keep that from destroying our mind, body and spirit. This forms the story of our lives! These are the survival stories that we share! Thank you for being a part of my world my sister girlfriend. Hugs and smooches. πŸ˜πŸ¦‹πŸ€©πŸ’–πŸ₯°

  5. Oh my goodness Kathryn, thank you my friend. Oh girlfriend, absolutely you can reblog or share this post in any way you see fit. I agree with you that we are indeed fellow pilgrims on this journey. Sadly, some people don’t see it that way, but we still do our part to have a peaceful pilgrimage! Hugs Kathryn! Thanks again. πŸ€—πŸ’–πŸ˜˜

This is a very beautiful and uplifting piece, Kym! I appreciate you and your positivity. Recently we have seen young actors losing their lives in the gym to get in shape as soon as possible. They forget that whether it’s happiness or success, it’s a journey, not destination.

Enjoy the process and remember the outcome need never be set in stone. It’s an outlook that will work when applied to so many areas of life.

  8. Boom Kaushal! πŸ‘πŸΌ You hit the nail on the head my friend. We have to be so careful of the influencers that we follow. They are not all they are cut out to be and we can see tragic consequences as a result. So incredibly sad. Thanks for chiming in my friend. πŸ₯°πŸ™πŸΌπŸ€—πŸ’–πŸ˜˜

  17. Yes, Kym. We are pure awareness or pure consciousness. And for most of the contemporary people, it is the only key to fall into it- I am deliberately using fall because it is just like falling in Love, we come to know only after we have fallen but not during falling (there was no experiencer during falling). So only through functioning awareness or being fully aware during the act or any act of routine one is able to fall into pure awareness to recognise the truth or reality of β€˜Who am I?’. We can only create situation in which it happens effortlessly. Can anyone love the other deliberately? It is outpouring of what is within and the other is not at all a matter in it like fragrance from a flower or raining from dark clouds.
All that is required is to attain no-mind state first time in life, if not have any prior experience of it. Then keep making such situations in every act.

  18. If it can happen to one living in this contemporary world raising his kids, living in society and following one’s religion religiously then it can happen to anyone. And it happens for sure, to those who live authentic life, give their best and do not care for results. Just performing to our best with totality and Love is enough reward in itself then one day in totally relaxed state it happens.

  19. Wow my friend, you broke this message down with such passion and depth. “An outpouring of what is within,” is on point! πŸ‘πŸΌ Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom. Cheers to your journey and wonderful destinations to come! πŸ˜πŸ’–πŸ˜Š
