Well now, today I officially begin celebrating hopefully the next 364 days to a banging good year, even if things may not always feel celebratory. I share today’s birthday happiness with thousands of people, like the late Princess Diana, Missy Elliott, Dan Aykroyd, Storm Reid, Liv Tyler, Lucas Vázquez, Debbie Harry, Andre Braugher, and Pamela Anderson, just to name a few.

So for all of you who were born in this FANbulous month, this is for you: 

There’s no need to explain why

You reach, oh moonchild, to touch the stars in the sky

raise the roof, spread your wings, and boldly fly

no need to apologize because you’re born in July!
