Where Y’all At? It Wasn’t Me!

OK, my dear WordPress community of fun-loving folks, I have a universal question that I want to ask all of you. But first, let me apologize to you if I have not visited your site lately because your post will typically pop up on my Reader. Lately, I have not seen the daily posts that I normally see from my regular peeps. Yet, when I saunter over to your blog site, I notice that I have missed a couple of days of your posts! UGH! 😫 UGH! 😝 And…UGH!!! 😲

Is anyone else out there experiencing this issue? Sometimes things on this platform work perfectly and I am all caught up, but lately, I can’t understand what is happening here. Is WordPress only allowing a limited amount of our connections to show up under the Reader that I am unaware of?

Well, just so you know, it wasn’t me! I will find my way to get back on track, with WP or not. Keep smiling, keep shining, and keep dancing! Much love! πŸ’–

HAPPY FRIDAY y’all!

  1. Same , Kym…it’s been going on for some time it seems.
each time it seems a different person is missing for the day or more too.
(today on my side it’s Sadje G posts missing)
    annoying…

  2. Kym, It’s crazy! People have told me they’re unable to comment on my posts though they’re logged in β€” I have no clue what’s happening with WP!

  3. Well in my case I know I’m being censored by WordPress for my views.

A couple of friends of mine with similar views to mine were heavily censored.

One so much so that he left this platform.

And the other she no longer posts as much (she used to post almost every day and now once a month).

But both those friends never had as many readers as I did.

It may be because they expressed their views as opinion piece essays.

Whereas I express my views through various characters in an on-line geopolitical thriller vampire novel (which attracts a lot of readers- those who read geopolitical thrillers and those who read vampire novels).

So WP probably has a love/hate relationship with me.

They hate me for my politically incorrect views.

But on the other hand like a lot of businesses, they love money.

And since I have a lot of readers, they make money through ads and advertising on my blog.

So I wasn’t censored as quite badly as my friends who hold similar views to mine but didn’t really have the readership to make money off ads.

  4. So glad that you brought this up, Kym. The same thought occurred to me recently when I noticed that there were fewer posts than usual in my Reader. I assumed that my “peeps” were off having fun on their spring breaks πŸ™‚ WordPress has also limited the number of Notifications (the bell on the top right hand corner of my screen) displayed on my Reader.

  5. WP can be glitchy, making us twitchy. πŸ˜• Dancing to Shaggy is a fun alternative. πŸ™ŒπŸ» Saw him a couple of years ago with Sting. Oh yeah! πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸͺ©πŸ’ƒπŸ» Happy Friday, shimmy Kymmy!

  9. WOW Christopher, how interesting. When I began blogging on this platform it was free and there were not issues with the simplest of operations and postings versus now. It should be easier, not more complicated. But the censorship is a new thing I never knew anyone had, unless there was hate-mongering going on, and your site doesn’t indicate that to me. Go figure right? πŸ™„πŸ˜«πŸ€”

  10. 🀣 LOL Wynne…you just might have a point girlfriend. I use Reader to connect to those subscribers who I might not have interacted with yet for the day, when I can of course, but probably posted before or after I did. I have a lot of people in so many different time zones, and although I know I can’t get to everyone, I try to interact with one of their posts. I take the weekends off…a mental break! 😜 Thanks girlfriend. πŸ€—πŸ™πŸΌπŸ˜Ž

  11. Same here Rosaliene. Even after refreshing that page, I know some of the people I usually see make a post still don’t show up, even though they have posted something. I also noticed something weird going on with the bell too. Oh, ya just gotta love modern technology! 😝😲😫

  12. About 3 months into the plandemic of 2020, I realized that the situation wasn’t as serious as lying politicians, lying health β€œexperts” and the brainless mainstream media were saying and started to express that opinion in my blog.

I’ve been on the WP Undesireables List ever since.

  13. I got ya Dawn. I check my emails too, but there are a few people who may not have liked or interacted with my blog that I usually check out. I only get to one post per person when I can. I did notice that some sites who reblog repeatedly throughout the day push out the people only posting one a day on my Reader. But honey chile, girlfriend ain’t losing any sleep over it. 😴 Where there’s a will, there’s a way! 😜 Smooches! 😘

  14. My Dancing Queen, I love your rhyming vibe. 🎢 There are more words I can definitely rhyme with glitchy and twitchy, but it may not be rated PG! πŸ€£πŸ˜œπŸ˜‚ But Michelina, cheers to our “Stayin’ Alive” Friday. I can’t believe you saw Shaggy and Sting on the stage. How awesome! 🎸🎀🎢 Make this weekend FANtabulous! πŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸŽ‰πŸ’ƒπŸ»

  15. πŸ€” Oh yes, that word! We won’t let frustrations get the best of us; we will just dance it off and ring the help desk, of course. πŸ™ƒ Oh my gosh, I can’t believe I saw them either! It was a dream! 2018 in Phoenix. What a duo!! πŸ’• Thank you, wishing you a wonderful one, too! 🌞πŸ₯‚

  16. Don’t have any problem with reading, being able to comment at will is my issue. I have most of my regulars on notification, and because of my limited reading time, try to keep to a preplanned schedule, so not to miss seeing all the posts!

  18. Yes. Kim. This happens all the time with WP Reader. They have an alogrithm that only allow you a certain number of blogs to read in The Reader. They elimate other blogs without telling you. It hurts people’s feelings and I don’t like it

  19. I don’t use the reader, Kym. I check my email notifications, but WP gets persnickety sometimes and it’s so frustrating. You are too funny! And if I miss one day of reading blogs, I get behind. It’s hard to catch up, if that’s even possible. So don’t worry! Sending hugs, my friend! xoxoxo

  22. Cindy, it’s aggravating and thanks so much for your insight. I see what you mean but as you noted I don’t like it. As a social forum, that’s what we do and it’s crazy for them to try to limit our communications with our subscribers. UGH!!! πŸ˜«πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜

  23. Thanks a million Lauren. Girlfriend, I am relieved to know I am not alone. I check my email notifications too, but there are some people I follow who may not have liked or commented on my blog post yet. I try to reciprocate where I can, but it can be an exhausting process. Yet, I’m good ladybug! So, enjoy the rest of your weekend! πŸ˜πŸ¦‹πŸ₯°πŸ’–πŸ˜˜ Hugs and smooches!

  25. I’m having lots of weird issues and it’s crazy how now in reader if I open and comment, I have to go all the way back to the first one which slows me down. After 100 likes I can’t see who they are and don’t know how to track them. And not to mention if I get behind.. it’s like digging our of a coffin, like now. Sorry girl, I fee ya! Yeah and I don’t know where comments go it!❣️
