Don’t Give Distractions Permission to Distract You!

Distractions will always be around.

Don’t allow those distractions to distract you.

I have spoken to so many people who are spooked by the background noise permeating through the pores of our peace. I have written on this topic before, and I started to leave this post with the simple reminder stated above.

Instead, in the midst of what’s already swirling all around us, I want to direct you to a post by my friend Jaja Wallace from Kindfeelings. I know many of you follow Jaja, but please check out his post, “Ignore Distractions And Focus” if you haven’t already done so, which details a simple way to deal with distractions. Thank you, Jaja, for sharing this advice that needs repeating, and implementation. It is very much needed. Have a Distraction-Free day y’all. 🌞

Kym, my twin sister, you are such a dear. Today I discussed the issue of distraction with the bastard I call husband. He was poking fun at my daughter for scoring 21/25 in three subjects. The truth was that we were facing noise pollution from the temples blaring loud music at God knows what decibels. She was unable to concentrate. Moreover, the toxic atmosphere at home is also responsible for her becoming nervous. She’s brilliant in studies but the asshole keeps comparing her with other children and constantly discouraging her. I am fed up with his attitude. I know that I should stop discussing him but he is too harmful for my daughter. I think I will record his nonsense and forward it to the local police station. Anyway, thank you so much for referring to the article by Ja ja Wallace. It’s great. β™₯️β™₯️β™₯️β™₯️

  2. Oh my dear Aparna, when I hear about these atrocities, especially geared at our children, that infuriates me. Your daughter should not be compared to other children, especially in light of the “Distractions” affecting her spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. That breaks down her self-esteem and confidence. You have no idea how much this pains me, but I think that you don’t need to talk anymore, given light to the abuse and all of the talking and pleading that you have shared.

I found that you don’t have to tell people that they are being mean-spirited and bullying you, because they already know that. They are good at doing that. They are fully aware of it. You must talk to your daughter and reinforce how much you are proud of her. Tell her to do the best “she” can, in spite of the circumstances. But when someone tries to break her down, and this goes for you too, lift her up and allow yourself to be lifted up to soar and not crawl. Change is coming my dear. It may not be as fast as we would like for it to, you just be prepared for it!

Sending you love, hugs, and smooches girlfriend. Never let anyone push your buttons who has no right to even touch your buttons! πŸ€—πŸ’–πŸ₯°πŸ’‹πŸŒžπŸŒΊπŸ˜

You are so right, dear Kym. I gave her a decent pep talk and encouraged her to give her best performance. I told her to stop taking permission for everything from that monster. 😊😊😊β™₯️β™₯️β™₯️

  8. This is a helpful strategy. As we practice our pointedness of concentration we learn to let other thoughts float by Ike clouds, and as we continue this practice becoming distracted lessens, and focus increases tremendously. A wonderfully empowering and helpful post, my kindred! Happy coming Friday! βœ¨πŸ¦‹πŸ’žπŸ’™πŸŒΊπŸŒ»πŸŒΈπŸ₯°πŸ˜˜πŸŒΈπŸŒΉ
