You Are a Diamond in the Rough 💎

In what way has a trial or tribulation shaped your life to help you to celebrate your radiance? Sometimes we get kicked around, insulted, or ignored because some people do not recognize our true worth. We see it all the time, and while many try to devalue your contributions and worth, you don’t have to accept their normalization of their dysfunction.

As you know, the term “diamond in the rough” describes someone with hidden potential. When it seems like life is chipping away at your mind, body, and spirit, just know that this process is a segue to your overall transformation in your rise with brilliance. When we think about those tools used to excavate specimens of rocks and minerals, along with the grinding, chipping, cutting, slicing, and polishing, they are used to remove the hard and rough exterior, only to reveal the magnificent glow of what that gemstone has to offer inside.

Challenges constantly hammer and chip away at us. There are unlimited ways where it feels like we go through the grinder more than we care to. If we paid attention the debris from those rough exteriors that fall off of us, we would be able to see how we become new creatures with a lot to offer. This chipping away is the prelude to exposing our illumination others tried to break or hide. Our faith journey is tested. Honey, nobody told us the road would be easy, but once we ease on down the road, others won’t be able to handle how brightly we shine!

Perhaps Charlie Brown should go back and take a good look at those rocks he got in his trick or treat bag during Halloween! 🤭 He might discover something far greater and more valuable than the candy everyone else got!

Once we get clear on who we are, accepting the pain and the pleasure that is delivered, we do transform, and the people in our lives that don’t resonate anymore, well, they fall away.
