I couldn’t believe when the month of October arrived and now that it’s gone I am in total disbelief that we have now entered the month of November. Imagine that? Well, you don’t have to. 😉 It’s here baby!
As we approach the Fall/Winter holidays, particularly Thanksgiving and Christmas, what comes to most people’s mind is the theme of peace, family, love, goodwill, and togetherness. In light of everything that has been happening lately, especially with our public display contentiousness, I wonder where the celebration of peace and goodwill is hiding. Did we just decide to designate our compassion for these two holidays in particular?
It seems that way by the character, behavior, and speech we hear spewing from the mouths of people who hold such disdain and hatred in their hearts towards others who may not agree with their viewpoints. Where did that goodwill and peace go? Did we neatly tuck it away and allow it to hibernate, and then when it’s convenient and we get our ‘Halo’ on, we manage to pull it out like a flashcard along with the holiday decorations?
What happened to Peace on earth and Goodwill towards all men…all the time? ☮️
