I am so honored to do something to give back and encourage members of our poetry community to forge ahead into 2015, with renewed POWER, PURPOSE & POETRY! At the same time to all of our writers who are continuously working towards perfecting your craft, you too remain steadfast. As I close, I want to leave you with my whimsical poem, 12 Days of Poetry, to the beat of the 12 Days of Christmas. (Poets will get the underlying poetry references)

On the twelfth day of poetry
my true love gave to me
twelve Diamantes shining
eleven Tankas counting
ten Lyrics jingling
nine Rhymes are rhyming
eight Limericks laughing
seven Sonnets singing
six Ballads rapping
five golden Cinquains
four loving Odes
three Terza Rimas
two Concrete shapes
and a Haiku in a Poet Tree!
-Kym Gordon Moore, 2014
